HUDSON VALLEY POSTPARTUM CARE

Postpartum Bodywork + In-Home Care

Holding sacred ground so new born mothers can bloom.

Whether this is your first baby or your fourth, you may already be wondering…

How will I feel after I give birth?

What will my body need after birth?

What am I supposed to eat?

What is normal?

How am I supposed to do all this?

Where is my village?

I’m not here to hold your baby so you can shower…

I’m here so you can hold your baby while feeling seen, warm, well fed, and tended to.

For six weeks after birth, I come to your home to care for you.

Bodywork. Nourishment. Warmth. Listening. Steady support.

Care for the mother, so she can care for her baby.

Based in Kingston, serving families throughout the Hudson Valley & Catskills.

Postpartum is a sacred window—not a syndrome.

We have come to expect postpartum depletion, exhaustion, pain, and overwhelm as inevitable.

I don't.

When a mother is well fed, warmly tended, listened to, and given space to rest, postpartum can also be a time of healing, beauty, bonding, and profound transformation.

Together we reweave the village of care and nourishment around your family.

This is not conventional doula care

I'm not here to help you get more done.

I'm not here to walk your dog, do your laundry, wash your dishes, or take the baby off your hands so you can catch up on everything else.

I'm not here to help you bounce back as quickly as possible.

And I'm not here to be your entire postpartum village.

That's not my work.

My work is caring for the mother.

If you're not interested in making time and space for your own recovery, this probably isn't the right kind of care for you.

I believe postpartum deserves attention.

I believe your nourishment matters.

I believe your body deserves care after what it has just done.

I believe rest is part of the work.

I believe bounce back culture can go fox itself.

You don't have to be good at resting before you work with me.

You just have to be willing to make room for it.

What does a visit look like?

I'll come to your home.

We'll begin by checking in: how are you feeling? How (and what) is your body feeling? How is nursing going? How is sleep? What do you need today?

Bodywork is a central part of the postpartum care I offer. What that looks like changes with where you are in your healing.

A visit might include:

  • Mayan lymph-supportive bodywork

  • Gentle abdominal and womb bodywork

  • Abhyanga

  • Belly binding

  • Bone closing ceremony

  • Moxa and other warming therapies

  • Herbal baths, sitz baths, or herbal preparations

  • Infant bodywork when appropriate

  • Breastfeeding and baby-care support

  • Birth-story listening

  • Ritual, processing, and witnessing

  • A place to ask all your TMI questions

You don’t need to host me, you don’t even need to get dressed. I am here to care for you while you care for your baby.

Hi, I’m Maible

I am a student of midwifery, herbalism, my ancestors, my own motherhood, and spiritual traditions and healing practices from across the world.

I believe mothers deserve to be cared for with the same tenderness and nurturance we give their babies. Centering the mother-baby dyad in this vulnerable and impactful time is the kind of tending that changes lives.
